We started manufacturing Soy products after our son was born in the fall of 2002. We were warned by our pediatrician not to burn paraffin candles around the baby because newborns’ lungs are not able to filter the toxins released by burning candles. She noted however, Soy candles burned clean and are safe around the baby. Overtaken by the desire to give nothing but the best to our son, we started burning nothing but Soy candles in our home. No more soot on the walls or in the air we breath.
Later, our son, developed Eczema and started having skin allergies, even to baby soaps. Dedicated to his well being, we searched for a remedy. Surprisingly, our answer came from the same place as the candles. We found Soybean oil to be a main ingredient in high quality cosmetics and facial creams. The reason; Soy is a great moisturizer and is non-allergenic to the majority of people. We started making Soy based soaps and lotions, and were able to bring relief to our son.
In the spring of 2003 we started taking our Soy candles, soaps, and lotions to local farmers’ markets, sharing our helpful products with others. The response was amazing! So many of you shared with us your challenges with similar skin problems and how our products brought relief.
